1、 Basic data

The design is based on the basic data.No matter what design, it is meaningless without basic data, and it can’t judge whether the design is good or bad.Many designers don’t understand this point and draw pictures as soon as they come up. As a result, they can’t solve the problem.

The most important basic data are inventory, receipt and delivery quantity, dismantling quantity, working time, SKU quantity, etc.Generally, these data should be referred to historical data or peer data.The more accurate the basic data, the more reasonable the design.

2、 Load

Foundation bearing capacity: it should be calculated according to the specification, not determined at will.

Shelf capacity: the use of finite element method for mechanical analysis, in which the seismic load is very important.

3、 Floor height

The floor height is very simple, and it is easy for a novice to make mistakes.The floor height includes beam H1, pallet H2, cargo H3, access space H4, security space H5, as well as the height of the bottom and top floor.If you do not understand the stacker, it is not an easy thing to calculate the storey height

4、 Front area and back area

To choose the size of the front area and the back area of the warehouse, it is necessary to understand the structure of the stacker.If you are an inexperienced designer, you can refer to the design of others.Correctly understand the front area and back area of the warehouse, but also understand the requirements of the maintenance area.

5、 Efficiency

The efficiency of stacker can be calculated, and the calculation method is given in fem9.851 standard.The efficiency of the stacker is a major factor, but it is not easy to correctly understand how to improve the efficiency.Some designers are inexperienced and tend to focus only on one indicator while ignoring other indicators.Sometimes the result of calculation is often unexpected.

6、 Conveying system

Conveyor as a peripheral supporting facilities, its design is often more important and complex than the automated warehouse itself, and its difficulty is also greater.There are many technologies used in conveyor, in addition to the traditional conveyor, there are shuttle car, circular shuttle car, AGV and so on.No matter what technology and equipment are used, we should have a clear understanding of its application and technical requirements.

The design of conveyor system should also consider the matching of efficiency.Sometimes, what kind of conveying form and conveying speed are used has a great influence on the efficiency of the conveying system.

7、 Fire protection zoning

Fire partition has a great influence on the design of automated warehouse.For class C and II materials, the partition area with automatic sprinkler is 3000 square meters, while the limit for an automated warehouse is 12000 square meters.This is one of the reasons why stereoscopic libraries can’t be built very large.

In fact, there are many design parameters of automated warehouse.It is important for designers to achieve balance and applicability.Balance is the design index, not too high or too low.Too high index will cause waste, too low index will affect the ability of the whole system.Application means that the technology used should be appropriate, not applied for application.
