How to prevent the overweight of automated warehouse?

Most of the automated warehouse projects are around the conveyor, stacker and other automation equipment to operate.The equipment has its capacity range. If the overweight goods are put on the conveyor, it is easy to cause equipment failure.The key is to avoid this problem from the design, so how to prevent the overweight of the automated warehouse?

1、 It is suggested to add detection device on the entrance conveyor

The common way is to use the weighing machine to detect the weight. Once it exceeds 5% of the rated weight, it is not allowed to enter the warehouse

1. The electronic control is controlled by itself. For example, if the setting is 1 ton, it is not allowed to enter if it exceeds the limit;

2. The upper software control, once sensing the pallet overweight, it is not allowed to release, even palletizing registration is not allowed.

This paper suggests the upper software control, mainly because the software control is more simple and flexible, low cost, and can expand some functions.In addition, for the fine control, even when scheduling the action of the stacker, the weight of the goods is transferred to the stacker, so that the stacker can automatically adjust the parameters of the frequency converter according to the weight of the goods, and get out of the more cost-effective (balance of speed and power consumption) starting braking curve.

2、 Make settings on the frequency converter corresponding to the motor of the entrance conveyor

For example, reduce the maximum torque threshold, once overweight will alarm, stop forward.

This parameter can be opened to the upper computer through the communication protocol, and different parameters may be set for different entrances, so that the upper computer can make flexible judgment; or in another angle, when the inbound conveyor is running, PLC will open the torque parameter of the inverter to the upper computer information system, and the upper computer system will open the torque parameter to the upper computer information system according to the torque relationship between different weights of goods and motor output in advance,The curve function relationship is drawn, so that the weight can be estimated according to the value of torsional moment each time. Once the weight is overweight, the upper position will give an alarm and indicate that the current data transmission is stopped.

3、 Pure software estimation control

The software knows what and how many items are put on the pallet. In fact, the weight of each item can also be known. When the item is put into the warehouse for registration, once it is calculated that it is overweight, it is not allowed to register the task.

This will have a certain preventive effect, but the trouble is to increase the amount of customer maintenance, need to calculate the total amount of each single piece, and if there is packaging, there will be errors in this part of the weight calculation.

If there are no protective measures, it will feel like unprotected “high-risk” behavior, even if the operation can be normal, it will also affect the life span.Just like the bridge, it is clearly rated to walk 5 tons of trucks, but many 10 tons and 20 tons of trucks will also walk. Although they will not collapse for the time being, there is no protection of “high risk”, so it is inevitable that there will be potential risks.

Due to the increasing demand of production development, automated warehouse has a wide range of equipment and different performance, which should be arranged according to the specific situation of the enterprise.
